PROJECT MANAGER
(Reports to: Construction Manager/ General Manager)
1. Keeping the project on schedule and ensuring that progress is aligned with the goals of the Company on a continuing basis. Programming and planning to identify project targets and ensure these are met within budget. Preparation of Three-Week LookAhead and Claim forecasts; 2. Supervising, managing and motivating a team of Site Engineers, Construction Supervisors and Surveyors to achieve project objectives safely, on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality; 3. Contract administration in line with FIDIC and PNG DOW Standard form of Contracts with responsibility for handling all contractual correspondence and matters; 4. Overseeing the works; reviewing Scope of Works documentation, Technical Specifications, Design Drawings and Schedules to ensure all works are performed accordingly. 5. Liaising with clients, consulting engineers, local authorities and project stakeholders to ensure that project objectives and deliverables are clearly documented and communicated to relevant field personnel; 6. Preparation of Progress Claims, progress reports and all contract deliverables; 7. Cost reporting to management, preparation of project financial reports, expenditure forecasts and budgets including periodically monitoring and updating same. 8. Scheduling procurement of major material and subcontract components of the works. Tendering and evaluating bids for subcontract packages, supervision and certification of completed works for payment. Preparation of project specific Subcontract, Service or Supply agreements. 9. Managing design changes, value engineering, estimating and pricing project variations; with responsibility for defining and negotiating Variations/ Change-Orders with the Supervising Engineer, Consultant and/ or Client. 10. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with company and project specific Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, Traffic Control and OHS objectives. 11. Troubleshooting and providing engineering input in other matters as required
