Crane Maintenance Technician requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
- Technical certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems (preferred).
- Specialized training or certification from crane manufacturers (e.g., Liebherr, Konecranes, grove ,Tadano ,etc).
- 2. Professional Certifications:
- Crane Maintenance Technician Certification (e.g., NCCCO, CIC, or equivalent).
- OSHA Certification (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
- Certification in working at heights and fall protection.
- 3. Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of crane equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- 4. Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in crane maintenance or a related mechanical field.
- Experience working with different types of cranes (mobile cranes, tower cranes, overhead cranes).
- Physical Requirements:
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools.
- Comfortable working at heights and in challenging weather conditions.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of Safety Standards:
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Awareness of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Knowledge of crane load charts and safe load handling techniques.
- Soft Skills:
- Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and fixing issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with team members.
- Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (if travel to different sites is required).
- Willingness to work on-call shifts or overtime when necessary.
Ability to attend periodic training sessions and workshops for skill upgrades
