PANEL BEATER – GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Repair damage to metal, fibreglass and plastic body work on vehicles, and form replacement vehicle panels.
Panel beaters will be experienced in using body repair kits, welding equipment, hydraulic lifters and spraypainting
tools.
 removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access
 removing dents by hammering panels
 straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
 replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
 filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces using power
and hand tools.
 cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment
 preparing panels for paint including sanding, blowing off and masking up vehicle
 fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks
and trims
 must be trade qualified and experienced
 may assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage and other
specialty vehicles
FULL TIME experienced Panel Beater required for reputable shop in Moorabbin.

YOU : Trade qualified and experienced to be able to work unsupervised and have knowledge of all aspects of
the trade. Communication, punctuality, reliability and attention to detail are a must.
