Job scope per below:
• Ensure that you review a project upon handover.
• Review and Produce Shop Drawings, concept to IFA (issued for approval) to IFC (issued for
construction) to As Builts.
• Review and Produce Set-Outs or Fabrication sheets.
• Scheduling, material optimization, Stock Control, etc
• Façade Design meetings (requires coordination with Clients, Builders, Factory Manager,
Foreman, Engineering, MD).
• Liaise with external supplier/s on design and interaction/installation to openings.
• Liaise with PM/Site on installation including problems and solutions.
• Procurement management - Material take off (Aluminium, Glass, Consumables)
• Identify and inform Variations to Estimator.
• Coordinate Scheduling and program requirements.
• Document Control – manage and improve.
• Knowledge of extrusion die drawings and prototype testing.
• Extrusion system stock control.
• Using PRS to manage and co-ordinate TASKS, Procurement, Setouts, Daily Reports.
• Continuous learning required on extrusions systems, new developments in Australian Standards.
Project Documentation Review Requirements
When a new project is won a project handover will be done by the estimating department to inform
stakeholders of the basic project requirements.
A review of the following documentation needs to be completed by ALL stakeholders in the Planning
departments and Project Managers to ensure that the following happens:
1. Planning and Project staff comprehend the new job and can discuss/debate requirements with
internal and external stakeholders.
2. To identify job requirements for your part of the project and allow a more comprehensive
understanding of the job as a whole.
3. To identify and raise any areas that may have been missed.
4. To understand the higher risk parts of the job and to enable meaningful discussions on risk
management.
5. To understand the fine detail as well as the broader scope and the Architectural intent of the job.
Documents that need to be reviewed by Planning and Project Staff:
1. Project Summary and handover as prepared by Estimating Department.

2. Architectural drawings; floor plans, window and door schedules, details.
3. Architectural specifications.
4. Wind Loading requirements.
5. Facade specification.
6. Glass Schedules and Types.
7. Extrusion/Framing Systems and Schedules.
8. Acoustic reports.
9. Finishes schedules.
10. Sample submission documents.
11. Within the documents find and understand the following: Glass types, Extrusion types, Auto door
requirements.
12. Section J reports and any thermal studies and how they relate to whole of window thermal
analysis.
13. Wind reports and structural steel and engineering reports.
Time will be allocated to enable this process to happen.
Document Checking Requirements – Note all documents need to go through a checking process.
All internally generated drafting drawings checked at Internal, IFA and IFC stages.
Check extrusion type.
Check Glass Type.
Check Finish Colour and Type.
RL and size checks.
Glass type checks.
Fixings check.
Material checks and optimisations.
Key Strengths Required
• Ability to run Façade design meetings from sketch concepts to final shop drawings.
• Self motivated.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle pressure.
• Ability to manage people.
• Ability to organise and manage multiple jobs.
• Ability to identify and build relationships with Builders.
