Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape and polish marble according to the design specifications
• Use tools such as chisels, hammers, and grinders to carve and shape the marble
• Read and interpret drawings to understand the project requirements
• Work with other masons and assistants to complete larger projects
• Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and expectations
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and project specifications accurately
• Experience in using various hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and polishing marble
• Knowledge of different types of marble and their unique properties, including color, veining, and texture
• Physical stamina and strength to lift, move, and manipulate heavy marble slabs and tiles
• Attention to detail and quality control to ensure finished products meet client specifications
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and overtime as required to meet project deadlines
