A. Education:
Secondary school certificate plus technical diploma in mechanical trade or at
least third year in mechanical engineering course.
B. Experience:
Shall have at least five (5) years experience in the operation and mechanical
maintenance of different types and brands of fire protection equipment
including water based, gaseous, and/or dry chemical systems with three (3)
years of which shall have been devoted with an electric utility company or
similar establishment. Specific experience on the test and inspection and
maintenance of fire pump, controller and/or its driver (electric motor and
diesel engine) and accessories is required.
C. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Review I&T Reports of mechanical portion of fire protection system to
ensure that they are in good operating condition.
2. Locates faults and other problems in the equipment or system by means
of appropriate diagnostic tests, measurements and analyses to determine
nature of repair to be made and replacement parts required.
3. Conducts repair(s) and preventive maintenance of equipment and
systems.
4. Develop mechanical layouts and schematics of the facility inspected.
5. Performs other related duties as may be required by Maintenance
Engineer or COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE.
