A. Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, or Equivalent
B. Experience:
Shall have at least six (6) years experience as a Senior Engineer in fire
protection engineering with three (3) years of his experience devoted with an
electric utility company or a similar establishment. Must be familiar with NFPA
Standards and/on the different types of fire detection & protection systems
and fire protection equipment
C. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Inspects and evaluates existing buildings and facilities for compliance with
COMPANY fire protection engineering standards.
2. Undertakes identification, study and evaluation of existing fire detection
and protection systems in COMPANY facilities including review of design
package of proposed fire detection and protection systems and provide
comments/recommendations. Submits finding/report to COMPANY
REPRESENTATIVE.
3. Prepares and submits report complete with updated drawing/layout on
service orders completed by the crew assigned under his responsibility.
4. Provides technical assistance in fire incident investigations and training
programs.
5. Provide familiarization training to COMPANY personnel on matters relative
to fire protection/fire prevention and on the standard procedures of
maintenance/servicing of fire detection and protection systems and fire
protection equipment.
6. Undertakes investigation, study and analysis of possible cause(s) of
equipment/system failure(s), provide recommendation(s) and corrective
measures and submits finding/report to COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE.
7. Conducts safety orientation meetings to field crews at least once a month.
8. Conducts quality assurance inspection of the work of the field crew under
his supervision.
9. Performs other related duties as may be directed by the COMPANY
REPRESENTATIVE
